SAN FRANCISCO — Publicis & Hal Riney on Thursday won the $3-5 million North Face Inc. account after a three month review, the client confirmed.

The other finalists were Venables, Bell & Partners and Black Rocket, both San Francisco, Publicis West in Seattle and DDB Seattle and Two by Four in Chicago.

The first work from Publicis is scheduled to run in March 2003 publications.

“Their global reach will help The North Face drive brand awareness worldwide,” said Jim Gerson, the client’s vice president of marketing, in a statement.
