Woods Touts Buick SUV

NEW YORK — General Motors Corp’s Buick division is launching TV commercials Wednesday for its new Rendezvous sport utility vehicle.

Tiger Woods remains Buick’s pitchman, but the Rendezvous spots are the first in which he supports a specific vehicle rather than the entire line.

The 60- and 30-second spots are slated to air during coverage of the Buick Classic Pro-Am golf tournament at Westchester Country Club in the New York suburbs June 21-24 on ESPN and ABC.

The ads, as well as executions for print, were created by McCann-Erickson, Troy, Mich.

On the links during the Buick Classic, Woods will play with a special golf bag, similar to his regular bag but with the Rendezvous name added underneath Buick’s.
