When it comes to contributions to political candidates and parties, many ad-agency executives are opening their wallets. As the chart shows, President Bush and the Republican committees benefited the most from the very top donors. Grouped by holding company, individuals in the chart who work at IPG shops bestowed nearly $95,000 on Republican committees, compared with $26,000 given to the Democrats. But this same group gave more directly to Sen. John Kerry himself ($28,500) than to Bush ($14,000).
