Welcome To Spin City

The Public Relations Society of America this week will descend on Boston for a three-day conference expected to culminate in several keynote addresses.
Speakers will include such business luminaries as knowledge management expert Peter Drucker, former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich, Harvard Business School professor Dorothy Leonard and Fortune magazine columnist Thomas Stewart.
To generate stories from and about the convention, Boston-based Agnew Carter McCarthy plans to survey the more than 2,500 public relations practitioners in attendance on various topics of interest. A news feed will supply broadcasters man-in-the-street-style interviews with attendees proffering pr pointers to the country’s embattled CEO.
The results of these interviews should be no less than network coverage. And, if not, the conference offers any number of sessions that may help: conflict resolution, for example, or managing client expectations. –Judy Warner
