NatWest-backed digital business account Mettle has hired Wavemaker’s specialist division Select to handle its media planning and buying.
The banking app, which aims to help small British businesses and contractors grow, launched its first campaign “The Charge” last June. Created by Fold7, it ran for six weeks across TV, VOD and YouTube with support across digital channels and social media. The seven-figure media campaign for the launch was run by Wake The Bear.
The subsequent appointment of Wavemaker Select followed a four-way-pitch and will see it tasked with meeting the exponential growth ambitions of Mettle, which claimed to have recorded a 400% increase in customers in the last year alone.
Wavemaker Select will also be briefed to build upon “The Charge” campaign to target the growing start-up sector in the U.K.
