Speaking of New Year’s resolutions, how about we all pledge to clean up our language at work this year? No, we’re not talking about curse words—we’re talking about all those wretched business clichés. (We’ll resist the urge to tell you to “take them offline.”) Accountemps, a staffing service, invited 150 senior business executives to rant about the various phrases and buzzwords they’re sick to death of hearing at the office. You can see a good sampling of their responses in the chart below. “Yeah, I’m gonna have to ask you to come in on Saturday” didn’t make the list.
