Waggener Tallies 2 Tech Clients

BOSTON Independent Waggener Edstrom Strategic Communica-
tions has added a pair of clients: Maven Networks and Network Intelligence.

The Portland, Ore.-based shop will handle media relations for both companies.

“We were impressed with Waggener Edstrom’s media reach and its passion and expertise in communicating compelling product stories,” said Hilmi Ozguc, co-founder and CEO of Maven Networks, in a statement. “By partnering with Waggener Edstrom, we gain the agency expertise we need to convey our message to a sophisticated business audience.”

The additions are important because they give the shop’s local office, which launched in May, credibilitty in the region’s high-tech sector, said Kristin Hilf, a vice president at Waggener Edstrom who heads the Newton outpost.

The agency has 550 staffers in the U.S. and Europe, with offices in Stamford, Conn.; Austin, Texas; San Francisco; London; Munich, Germany; and Paris. Clients include Microsoft, MasterCard and Alcatel.
