Venables Names McGinness CD

Will McGinness, creative director and associate partner at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, has joined Venables Bell & Partners as creative director.

McGinness joins the San Francisco independent after seven years at crosstown shop Goodby, a unit of Omnicom. There, he oversaw award-winning campaigns for Got Milk? Doritos, Hewlett-Packard, Saturn, Rolling Rock, Comcast and Yahoo, among others. Prior to Goodby, McGinness worked at Havas’ Arnold on Volkswagen.

“Venables has proven itself to be a major creative force in the industry, and I’m fired up to work as Paul’s partner to help further that growth in new media and innovation,” said McGinness.

Clients include Audi of America, ConocoPhilips, Barclays, the Meth Project, PG&E and Vizio, among others.
