The U.S. Army narrowed the list of contenders for its $114 million advertising contract last week to three shops, sources said.
The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va., Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Mich., and Leo Burnett in Chicago are the agencies that advanced. After issuing questionnaires and conducting “capability briefings,” the Army cut Arnold Communications in Boston, DDB of Chicago and McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather, both New York.
The three finalists will attend briefings in Washington this week, where each will receive a request for proposal.
