Philip Schwartz, president and partner at Turkel Schwartz & Partners in Coral Gables, Fla., is retiring from the agency he helped to found.

Schwartz, 55, leaves advertising with the grace and quirky humor that has characterized his career. “At twentysomething I decided advertising would be my career,” Schwartz said. “My goal thirtysomething years later is dabbling in trade-show magic, real estate and napping.”

Schwartz began his marketing career in 1972 on the client side at General Mills.
