Trion Gives Vittorio Creative Reins

Streamlining the creative process is the key goal for David Vittorio in his new role as director of creative services at Trion Communications.

In the newly created position, Vittorio oversees a staff of six designers and copywriters at the Providence, R.I., shop, reporting to Trion president Josh Fenton.

The two became acquainted when Vittorio was director of marketing for New England Coffee and later Bess Eaton Donuts at cross-town shop RDW Group. Fenton was senior vp, marketing at RDW until joining Trion last year.

Vittorio was most recently marketing director at Spencer Technologies in Spencer, Mass. “My coming from the client side is a big advantage in understanding the branding process from strategy to execution,” Vittorio said.

The two had kept in touch after moving on to other positions, making it easy for Fenton to approach Vittorio when he realized the need for someone to oversee the creative process as the agency grows.

“When you are a growing agency, there are key people that will help you reach the next level,” Fenton said. “He’s one of those people.”
