@tmosphere CEO to Step Down

NEW YORK – Susan Pinkwater is stepping down as president and CEO of @tmosphere, a New York-based interactive agency launched by BBDO New York. She will be replaced by Drew Ianni, who recently served as an equity research analyst for Lazard Freres, covering IT service providers.

According to a statement issued by the company, Pinkwater plans to return to consulting, “maintaining her excellent relationship with @tmosphere and BBDO.”

@tmosphere, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, currently empl oys about 60 people and has attracted such clients as Allied Domecq’s Kalhua.com, CarDay.com and LeisurePlanet.com. The agency has said it expects its interactive media and advertising revenues to rise to more than $8 million this year from $2 million las t year.

Ianni comes to @tmosphere having also served as an analyst with New York-based Jupiter Communications and as an account manager with CKSI Group in Cupertino, Calif.

In addition to Ianni’s appointment, @tmosphere also announced the promotion of A ndreas Combuechen, a founding member of the agency, to chief creative officer and managing director from creative director.

Meanwhile, another founding member, Fran Powell, who joined @tmosphere as director of Internet strategy after 15 years at BBDO, has been promoted to managing director and chief strategy officer. Finally, Kathleen McSherry has been promoted to managing director and chief operating officer from her previous post as director of finance.
