Tiger Woods Swings to Big Screen

NEW YORK — Move over Leonardo DiCaprio and Denzel Washington. Tiger Woods has hit the big screen with a 60-second commercial for the Buick Rendezvous. The commercial, which will play in nearly 10,000 theaters nationwide, began July 10 and will continue through Aug. 6.

The commercial, “Tornado,” debuted on TV in June from McCann-Erickson, Detroit. Momentum-Detroit, developed the movie promotion for Buick in conjunction with Screenvision Cinema Network.

According to General Motors, during the first two weeks of the commercial’s run, moviegoers will receive Rendezvous decoder game pieces as they enter theaters, which can be held up to computer screens at buickrendezvous.com, with the potential of winning a Rendezvous grand prize.
