TG Madison Makes Its Case for Hartmann

ATLANTA TG Madison has added Hartmann as a client, according to the agency.

The Atlanta shop said it was selected without a formal review to develop marketing and advertising for the Lebanon, Tenn., client. TG Madison has been interested in working with the luxury luggage brand for years, said agency chairman Joanne Truffelman.

After a difficult period in the travel and tourism industries, Hartmann is poised for a market re-entry, which is the goal of the shop’s upcoming work, Truffelman added.

“Hartmann holds a unique position in its industry, offering a combination of style and quality that is unmatched,” said Truffelman.

Ken Hinman, vice president of sales and marketing for the client, said that the agency was chosen because of its understanding of the product and its vision for the future of the brand.

“The work was stunning and the chemistry we have with the team clinched the deal,” added Hinman.

TG Madison said it begins work immediately on the first project, Hartmann’s fall merchandise catalog. Market research will be conducted before finalizing advertising and sales support plans, TGM added.

Hartmann, founded in 1877, sells luggage, attache cases, accessories and leather goods in the U.S. and abroad via department and specialty stores. Brown-Forman Corp. of Louisville, Ky., owns the company.

Annual billings were not disclosed.
