BOSTON TD Banknorth today said it signed a 20-year deal with FleetCenter owner and operator Delaware North that would rebrand the 20,000-seat downtown arena as the TD Banknorth Garden.

The deal grants TD Banknorth exclusive naming rights to the venue, which serves as home to the Boston Celtics basketball team and the Boston Bruins hockey franchise.

Terms were not disclosed but sources said such a deal would likely top $100 million.

TD Banknorth also receives exclusive on-site signage, branding and advertising rights, significant hospitality and ticket opportunities, as well as an online presence on the venue’s Web site, one of New England’s most highly trafficked entertainment sites.
