TBWA\C\D Tops U.S. Entries in Press and Outdoor Finals

CANNES, FRANCE Fifty-seven out of 903 U.S. entries in the Press and Outdoor competition advanced to the finals at the International Advertising Festival here today. The shortlist of 793 ads from around the globe will compete for the top prizes, which will be presented at an awards ceremony here on Wednesday.

Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., is under consideration for eight entries for Apple iPod, Sony PlayStation and the Ad Council. Two of the agency’s large-format iPod billboards, “Ginza Store” and “Trivision,” featuring silhouettes of people dancing, made it the finals, as well as three PlayStation ads, “Ferai,” “Undine” and “Wraith,” and three ads from the Ad Council’s Campaign for Freedom, “Priest, Rabbi and Imam,” “The President” and “We Have Nothing to Eat.”
