TBS Picks Up ‘Worst Case’

Riding on heels of success with “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” TBS Superstation has committed to pick up 22 episodes of Columbia TriStar Television Distribution’s new hourlong weekly reality-based show “Worst Case Scenario.”

Craig Piligian, a co-producer on CBS’ “Survivor” and “Survivor: The Australian Outback,” acquired the rights to the irreverent best seller “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook” from Chronicle Books and is developing the project at Columbia TriStar for an exclusive run on TBS.

The book, written by Joshua Piven and David Borgenicht, tells people how to escape seemingly inescapable situations, including jumping off a burning roof and winning a wrestling bout with an alligator.
