StrawberryFrog Comes to America

BOSTON StrawberryFrog has established its first U.S. outpost in New York, the agency said.

“The U.S. is an extraordinary market because of some of the best brands … and some of the best marketing and advertising people are here,” said Scott Goodson, co-founder and creative director at independent StrawberryFrog in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Goodson cited interest from American clients as the reason for opening the new office.

What StrawberryFrog brings to the U.S. is “red-hot creative … not 80 layers of bureaucracy,” said Goodson. He added that the Manhattan operation would mirror the agency’s Dutch headquarters, relying more on a network of talent connected through the Internet.

Heather Fullerton, group account director and partner, and Goodson are currently recruiting staffers. Tracey Lee, a strategic planner from M&C Saatchi in New York, and Adam Kery, an account manager from Amster Yard in New York, have already been hired.

The agency said it expects to announce its first U.S. client shortly.

In Europe, StrawberryFrog has created campaigns for Ikea, Sony Ericsson, MTV and Mitsubishi.
