NEW YORK Hugh Duthie, chief strategic officer at TBWA\Chiat\Day here since February 2005, is leaving the agency at the end of the month, the shop has confirmed.

Duthie’s exit comes a month after Suzanne Powers assumed the New York post of executive director of strategy and business development. Powers, who transferred from the Omnicom Group shop’s office in Playa del Rey, Calif., will absorb Duthie’s duties, albeit in the broader role, an agency representative confirmed.

In Playa del Rey, Powers was co-director of account planning, along with Julie Liss, who is now the sole account-planning director.
