State Lottery Dips Toe Into TV With Ogilvy Spots

The Illinois Lottery launched a TV campaign this month but emphasized that its media strategy remains focused on outdoor marketing.

The four 30-second spots from Ogilvy & Mather are running on WGN-TV during Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs baseball games, and continue the “Players have more fun” tagline, said Cathy Beres, deputy director of marketing for the Illinois Lottery.

“This is a very limited schedule tied into several promotions,” Beres said. “We continue to focus on our out-of-home marketing.”
