“There is no good time to leave what you love,” says Dusenberry, 66, who retired from BBDO last May. “There comes a time when you have to make room for others.” On March 18, the American Advertising Federation will honor the legendary copywriter with an induction into its Hall of Fame. “I’m very proud to be voted in,” says Dusenberry, who joined BBDO in 1962. “It’s good news. The bad news is, people in the Hall of Fame are a little long in the tooth, which is the nice way of saying that you are over the hill.”
