Smedley Rejoins Edelman in Senior Post

ATLANTA Christina Smedley has returned to Edelman as senior vice president and creative director of the Eastern region, the public relations practice said.

Smedley, 36, worked at Edelman’s London office from 1994-99 as business group director of consumer marketing. She supervised creative direction, media relations, crisis and issues management, and client relationships.

She left the independent shop in 1999 to join Amazon.com as director of international communications. She was responsible for agency relationships worldwide, helped launch new markets and services, and supervised the company’s public relations spending.
