ServicEdge Moves to Devine

ServicEdge has tapped Devine & Pearson as its agency of record. The account had been handled by Cohn Godley Norwood.
“It didn’t make sense for Cohn Godley Norwood strategically, creatively or financially,” said Ben Godley, president of the Boston-based agency. “We mutually agreed to part ways and left on good terms. I think Devine & Pearson will be a good fit for them.”
Devine & Pearson won the estimated $1 million account following an internal review of undisclosed agencies. The Quincy, Mass., shop will create broadcast, print and direct mail executions, develop strategic plans and provide interactive services. Client officials could not be reached for comment by press time.
“As a new, rapidly growing company introducing new products and services into new markets, ServicEdge requires the strong strategic communications partnership of our agency,” said Devine & Pearson partner Tom Devine.
The account team will be headed by Devine, who will work with creative director John Pearson and account supervisor Michelle McNeice.
Cohn Godley helped name ServicEdge and introduced the company last March in a print, outdoor and radio campaign. The tagline: “Our commitment, your comfort.”
Headquartered in Burlington, Mass., ServicEdge is a division of Eastern Enterprises, the Weston, Mass.-based holding company of utility and transportation firms such as Essex Gas Co. and Boston Gas Co. ServicEdge was formed to sell the services of Boston Gas.
ServicEdge’s competitors range from Sears home services to numerous independent contractors.
