Semons Joins Doremus

Doremus in New York has hired Andrew Semons as director of strategic services. Semons was most recently senior partner, group director of planning at Ogilvy & Mather in New York, where he developed consumer, corporate and business-to-business communications platforms for a variety of global and domestic accounts including Unilever, Merck, Abbott Laboratories, GlaxoSmithKline and Schering-Plough. Before that, he introduced the strategic planning function at Shandwick Public Relations in New York. As senior vice president, managing director at the Bozell Sawyer Miller Group in New York, Semons oversaw and implemented major research and consulting efforts at the crisis management and internal communications research firm. He also has been a vice president, associate director of account planning at DDB in New York and worked in other roles at Ammirati & Puris, McCann Erickson and Grey Advertising. He is a graduate of Columbia College and attended the Columbia Business School. Semons will report directly to managing director Howard Sherman at Doremus.
