McDonald’s and Sega of America have agreed to create a line of McDonald’s Happy Meal premiums based on top-selling Sega franchises Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The products will debut this summer at participating McDonald’s restaurants in North America and will be supported by marketing efforts from both parties, the companies said. Leo Burnett USA in Chicago handles ads for McDonald’s Happy Meals. Sega has not said which shop will handle its share of the ad duties.
