Ripple Effects Lands RBFF, Northeastern

NEW YORK Ripple Effects Interactive recently added two clients to its roster, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation and Northeastern Illinois University.

The RBFF selected the Pittsburgh interactive agency following a two-month review that included SBI Group’s Sbi.Razorfish, Eisner Communications’ Eisner Interactive, Three Spot and The Richards Group’s Click Here, the agency said. The Richards Group in Dallas handles the creative offline account of the Alexandria, Va.-based nonprofit organization, which according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus, spent about $2 million on measured media last year.

Ripple Effects will redesign the RBFF’s consumer Web site ( in an effort to make it the preeminent information destination for boaters and anglers. The new site is slated to launch April 1.

Northeastern tapped Ripple Effects following a three-month review of nine other undisclosed agencies to help the Chicago university determine optimal online marketing strategies. The interactive shop will also redesign the school’s Web site (, equipping it with a content management system to accommodate post-launch needs.

Northeastern joins other higher education institutions served by Ripple Effects, including Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, the Community College of Allegheny County and the Federation of Community College Systems.

Budgets for each assignment were not disclosed.
