Rapp Collins Taps CEO, Prexy

Jastrem Arrives, Judge Advances in Texas
DALLAS–Rapp Collins Worldwide has expanded the executive roster at its Irving, Texas, office to strengthen that site’s direct response high-tech capabilities.
The Omnicom member agency has filled a newly created chief executive officer position with John Jastrem, a consultant from California, and promoted managing director Steve Judge to a new president’s title at the New York-based network’s largest office.
“It’s a synergistic dynamic–his creative skills with my technology skills,” said Jastrem, formerly president and chief executive officer of Team Consultants in Redondo Beach, Calif., where he was involved in strategic planning, technology issues as well as mergers and acquisitions.
“We have a number of clients in high tech,” said Jastrem, “so that is definitely an industry we intend to focus on. We’re very familiar with their customers.”
Jastrem previously was chairman and chief executive officer of Hooven Direct Marketing in Gardena, Calif., and CEO of Colt Industries in Hartford, Conn.
Judge is a 17-year Rapp Collins veteran who has been managing director for five years. He originally served as creative director before branching into management, according to the agency.
Jastrem joins Judge on the 16-member Rapp Collins advisory board of directors. The group is comprised of executives from all eight U.S. offices of the company.
Clients of the Rapp Collins operation in Irving include Sony, Hyatt Resorts, Dell Computer and Adobe Systems.
