Luckie & Co. in Birmingham has appointed ecd Brad White to its four-member executive committee. White joined the shop in 2003 from TM Advertising in Irving, Texas, where he was a creative director. In addition, Jay Waters has been promoted as chief strategy officer. He previously was svp of communications planning.


Gordy Abel has advanced to vp of marketing for Carat Fusion and Freestyle Interactive. Abel previously was Carat Fusion’s national marketing director. Both agencies are located in San Francisco and are a part of the Isobar U.S. network.

Venice agency 86 the onions has hired strategist Keith Skelton as managing director. He previously ran marketing communications and strategy for Moses Anshell in Phoenix.


Denver’s Cultivator Advertising & Design has hired Sara Payne as a senior account manager on clients such as New Belgium Brewing and Oxford Spa. Payne was an account executive at crosstown Thomas, Taber & Drazen.


Matthew Woods Weber has joined Avon-based Mintz & Hoke as a senior media planner. Previously, he was a media supervisor at Merkley + Partners in New York. Also, Peter Tycienski has arrived as a media promotions buyer. Previously, Tycienski was a sales planner at Speedvision and Outdoor Life Network in Stamford.


Response Mine has advanced Josh Carlson to vp of media and search services from media director. The independent Atlanta shop also added Paul Carpenter, who joined as account supervisor from sister agency Bennett Kuhn Varner; Melinda Houge, who arrived as senior interactive media buyer from Marketworks in Atlanta, where she was marketing services manager; Charles Lumpkin, who came aboard as senior interactive media buyer from Ballard Designs in Atlanta; and Kathleen Reynolds, who was hired as an account manager, was former associate marketing manager at HoneyBaked Ham in Norcross. Trudy Barr has joined Atlanta independent shop McRae Communications as a senior account executive. She previously worked at Partners + Napier and Jay Advertising in Rochester, N.Y.


Burson-Marsteller announced that Christine DiBartolo has joined the firm as a director in its Chicago public affairs practice. Prior to working at Burson-Marsteller, DiBartolo served as an aide to former Attorney General Janet Reno.

Chicago health-care agency Abelson-Taylor has promoted Myra Tejada and Shanna Roehrborn to senior account executive and account executive, respectively. In addition, the shop hired Charmaine Wilke as a senior account executive. Tejada was previously an account executive, and will now manage assignments in the diabetes field. Roehrborn was previously an assistant account executive and will be working on a new diabetes product from Eli Lilly. Wilke, who comes from crosstown agency Goble & Associates, will work on the Vesicare account.

Burrell Communications in Chicago has hired Laura Jackson Kenton as an account director in engagement marketing on the McDonald’s account. She is a former account supervisor at R.J. Dale in Chicago. Toni Midderhoff has joined Burrell as a vp, account director on the Allstate account. She was a senior business manager for Creata in Oakbrook Terrace. Donna Hodge has also joined Burrell as an associate media director. She is a former consultant.


Zehnder Communications in New Orleans has hired Todd Maysonave as interactive art director. Maysonave was most recently co-founder of Promotion Solutions, a New York design agency specializing in creating print and digital campaigns and marketing collateral. Zehnder also named Greta Joseph senior account executive. Joseph was previously an urban marketing rep for Anheuser-Busch distributor Southern Eagle. Louisiana native Amy Mahfouz has also joined the agency as PR director. Mahfouz was previously senior associate director of marketing at Fortune magazine.


Independent agency Via in Portland has hired Jaclyn Taylor as an assistant media planner. Taylor was an intern in the media department.

Nils von Zelowitz has joined Rapp Collins as vp of digital marketing. He was most recently vp, account director at Wunderman, also in New York.

Razor & Tie Entertainment has named Robert Rifkin director of nontraditional Sales. Rifkin was most recently national sales manager for New York’s Alfred Mainzer Greeting Cards.

Time4 Media, a division of Time Inc., has appointed Todd Unger to the new position of svp, Time4 Digital. Unger most recently served as svp, brand extensions and general manager, online at Lifetime Entertainment.


Cincinnati’s laga, a design and innovation partner to the world’s leading companies, has named three new executives to its management team: Camille Popplewell as client services group director, Monica Zimmer as senior brand consultant, and Mark Morse as brand consultant. Popplewell was the account services leader in the beauty care unit of LPK in Cincinnati, Zimmer was a brand consultant for Interbrand in Cincinnati, and Morse was a client manager for Landor in Cincinnati.


Brothers & Co. in Tulsa has hired Amy Hopkins as copywriter and producer and Kendall Callaway as public relations account coordinator. Hopkins was previously a copywriter at Saatchi & Saatchi X in Springdale, Ark. Callaway was previously tourism director for the city of Okmulgee. Michael Seiler, a former team manager at Decision One, has also joined the agency as comptroller.


Dino de Leon has been named vp and cd at Razor Competitive Edge in Addison. De Leon previously worked in supervisory roles at promotional agencies Zipatoni and Moosylvania Marketing in St. Louis.

Darlene Ashley, previously svp and director of client services at Rives Carlberg, has moved to Fogarty Klein Monroe as svp, account director for Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits. Both agencies are based in Houston. She previously worked at N.W. Ayer in Houston and Bozell Jacobs Kenyon & Eckhardt in Dallas.


Web analytics company Omniture in Orem has appointed Greg Butterfield, president and CEO of Altiris, to its board of directors. The board now has six business leaders.
