Prior to joining the Little Rock agency, Lee worked at the Arkansas Department of Economic Development as director of communications.CALIFORNIAGround Zero appointed Nicole Scandaliato associate media director, a new post. She will manage media planning on Waterpik Technologies and the California Department of Health Services Tobacco Control program. Scandaliato, 33, joins Ground Zero in Marina del Rey from Deutsch/LA. During her six years at Deutsch, she worked on Baskin Robbins, Bank of America and, most recently, Mitsubishi.The M1 Partnership, formerly The M1 Agency, named Adam Kaufman president and chief strategist, a new post. Before joining M1 in Culver City, Kaufman, 44, was chief of strategy for H, a marketing-automation-software developer in San Jose. He also worked as managing director of Zentropy Partners and creative director at Anderson and Lembke in San Francisco.Ruder Finn/Switzer hired Harry Pforzheimer as executive vice president. He formerly was head of the Western region for Edelman and general manager of its Silicon Valley technology-practice hub. He will report to Jessica Switzer, managing director of RF/S in San Francisco, whose firm was acquired by Ruder Finn in February. Pforzheimer is charged with helping to develop the agency's West Coast presence. He will also work with Richard Funess, president of Ruder Finn/Americas, and other members of the Ruder Finn executive committee to contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives.CONNECTICUTKeiler & Co. elevated Richard Feiss to director of account services. In his new role, Feiss will oversee 13 staffers and supervise the teams on the Farmington agency's Deloitte & Touche, The Stanley Works and NYU Stern School of Business accounts. Feiss has been with Keiler for 12 years, most recently serving as management supervisor. Prior to joining the agency, he was an account supervisor at Grey in New York, working on IBM.Mascola Advertising hired Taissia Gaudio as media planner and buyer. She will handle media planning for a variety of the New Haven shop's clients and assist media director Caryl Kubelka-Peck in planning and buying activities. Previously, Gaudio was a national sales associate at Clear Channel Radio in Hartford.GEORGIADenmark Advertising & Public Relations promoted two staffers. Rachel Kihn, director of client service, joined the Atlanta agency as an account supervisor in 2000. Kathryn Nellis rose to assistant account executive. She was hired as an administrative assistant last year.ILLINOISDiMeo & Co. in Chicago added Jennifer Stankovic as an account executive on the $4 million Chicagoland Popeyes Chicken & Biscuit business. During his four years at the Wenham-based IPG agency, Donahue has handled relationship marketing for the Department of Defense, GM Certified Used Vehicles, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, GM Card, Nextel Communications, Charles River Laboratories and LendingTree. Prior to Mullen, he worked at Ingalls in Boston and Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis.NEW YORKRalph Pagan, 41, was named senior advisor of brand strategy and corporate identity at Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America in New York. His duties will include coordinating the development of marketing materials, collaborating with other corporate-branding initiatives and working with the company's information-technology and procurement departments. Previously, Pagan was managing director of RP Enterprises, a New York consultancy that specializes in Web-based branding and new-product development. He has worked as director of marketing for ERA Real Estate in Parsippany, N.J., and started his career with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons in New York, where he eventually became director of new product development.OHIOEmpower MediaMarketing in Cincinnati promoted Lynn Cortelezzi from associate media director to director of local media. She joined Empower as a market manager in 1993. Following a stint as market manager at Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago from 1995-96, Cortelezzi rejoined Empower as local media team supervisor and senior market manager. She was named associate media director in 2000. In her new post, she will assume full responsibility for the activities of the local media team. Cortelezzi will plan and track the team's budget, participate in new-business pitches, execute incentive and training programs and be involved in strategic planning. She will continue to interact with clients such as Long John Silver's, Cincinnati Bell and HoneyBaked Ham.SOUTH CAROLINAErwin-Penland elevated three staffers. Junior media planners and buyers Katie Carrow and Ashere Warner were promoted to media planner and buyer posts. Justin Merrell rose from production specialist to associate production manager on the Greenville shop's Verizon Wireless team.TENNESSEEWilliam Conway III was named president of Conway Marketing Communications. The Knoxville shop's founder, William Conway Jr., will serve as CEO. The new president, who has been with CMC for 11 years, most recently was account supervisor.TEXASClick Here, the interactive-marketing division of The Richards Group, hired Erin Petty as account supervisor. Prior to joining the Dallas-based shop, Petty was associate manager of CRM/ e-CRM at Pizza Hut, also in Dallas. Click Here also hired Kelly Moore and Katie Holmes as account executive and traffic manager, respectively. Moore is a recent graduate of the University of Texas, and Holmes previously worked for Imagination Specialties in Nashville, Tenn. In addition, the shop promoted Erika Knight and Amy Ragsdale to account director and media planner, respectively.The Ward Group in Dallas named Pat Zagorski media director. She will oversee planning, negotiating and buying for Ward's clients. Prior to joining the shop, Zagorski worked at Southwest Media Group, also in Dallas, as director of network buying.WISCONSINThe Radiate Group in New Berlin appointed Keith Bruce executive vice president for global sports marketing. Bruce was at 361 Marketing, where he was founder and senior vice president, general manager.
