A+T Plays Up Pinnacle’s Exception Online

ATLANTA The Alexander + Tom agency said it has launched an online marketing campaign to introduce the new Exception line of golf balls from Pinnacle Golf.

The campaign includes an interactive game on the company’s Web site that allows visitors to participate in an online version of the Pinnacle Distance Challenge, a nationwide contest the company sponsors annually. The venue also presents product features and technology, player testimonials and a golf newsletter.

“Our mission was to give Pinnacle an exciting image and environment that encourages golfers to learn about, and then try, the Exception,” said Billy Twigg, president of the Baltimore agency.

This is the third online game the agency has created for the Boston-based company. The shop created the first contest when it landed the account in 2000 and another in 2002.

Campaign spending was not disclosed, but Pinnacle is the agency’s second-largest account, Twigg said.
