AgraQuest in Davis, Calif., markets a product called Serenade, which the company claims is more environmentally friendly than other pest-control products.

GPX in St. Louis has been in business for more than 30 years, but has never done any significant consumer advertising. The company makes portable compact-disc players and DVD and karaoke systems. It is attempting to compete better with well-known national brands sold at retail chains, according to the agency.

Billings on the two accounts were not disclosed.
