BOSTON–The AtlanticRancher Co. has put its catalog where it hopes its buyers are: on the Internet.





The Web site comes four months after the 2-year-old Marblehead, Mass., company opened its first store. Company founder Engle Saez pointed to the Web’s typical user profile of upscale, educated males as a reason for marketing on line. It already has released to 200,000 homes nationwide a traditional catalog of outdoor apparel, designed by Leslie Evans Design in Portland, Maine.





The site is unusual in that the catalog uses JavaScript, a new technology that enables a speedier computer shopping experience, according to developer David Galiel.





No formal ad campaign has been launched to promote the site, although AtlanticRancher Co.
