Omnicom Acquires Promotion Network

New York — The Promotion Network, which specializes in retail merchandising, national consumer promotions and trade marketing for packaged goods, has been acquired by Omnicom Group, becoming part of the holding company’s Diversified Agency Services group, according to Omnicom.

TPN joins Tic Toc and TLP in the sales promotion sector of DAS.

In a statement, Thomas L. Harrison, chairman of Omnicomis DAS group, said of TPN, “Their outstanding creative and strategic capabilities can be networked among clients of both DAS and other Omnicom companies, adding depth to our current relationships with these clients and broadening the client reach of TPN.”

TPN is best known for promotions for Gatorade.

The company was founded by Roger Winter in 1983 in Dallas, Texas. It also has offices in Chicago and New York. Sharon Love, president and head of TPN’s New York office and Rich Feitler, evp and head of its Chicago office, will continue in their current positions.
