NEW YORK Ogilvy & Mather, amid client-spending shifts and in the wake of an anemic year on the new business front, this week will eliminate about 75 jobs from its New York operation, sources said.

The estimated 4 percent cut will impact both Ogilvy and its direct marketing and interactive arm, OgilvyOne, with the bulk of the layoffs coming in account management, said sources. Both units are part of a single profit and loss statement in New York.
