SAN FRANCISCO Independent shop Gauger + Santy has changed its name to Gauger + Associates, agency executives said.

The advertising and design shop, which specializes in consumer packaged goods and homebuilding, changed its name effective this month. “The change has been in the works for some time,” said president and creative director David Gauger, “and it will allow us to move forward in a more dynamic direction.”

Gauger and founder-principal Dan Santy will continue to collaborate, each serving on the advisory board of the agency. Annual billings for Gauger + Associates are $36 million.

This year, the agency has won new accounts such as Weetabix, the British cereal giant, and the Home Builders Association. The shop’s client roster also includes Atkins Nutritionals, The Hain Celestial Group and Barbara’s Bakery.
