New Creative, Account Leaders at Brandon

ATLANTA Brandon Advertising said it has named Chris Vestal and Jon Leon “team” creative directors, replacing creative director Tom Collins who left the independent shop in September.

In addition, the Myrtle Beach, S.C., shop has promoted Tyler Easterling to director of account management from her previous post as senior account manager. Easterling will supervise the account management department and be responsible for the agency’s growth and profitability.

Vestal and Leon, both art directors, will manage the creation, development and production of all the agency’s advertising. Vestal joined the shop in September 1994 as an associate creative director. Leon arrived in June 2004, also as an associate creative director.

Vestal was an art director for The Sellers Group in Myrtle Beach before joining Brandon. He holds an associate degree in commercial art and advertising design from Giulford Technical Community College in Greensboro, N.C.

Leon previously was an art director at Doe-Anderson in Louisville, Ky., where he worked on the Duckhead Apparel, Papa John’s Pizza and Maker’s Mark accounts. He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Louisville.

Easterling joined Brandon in February 2003 from Rawle-Murdy in Charleston, S.C., where she was responsible for advertising, market research, media planning, competitive analysis and sales for that agency’s Orient-Express Hotels account. She has a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi and a masters in mass communications from the University of South Carolina.

“Over the past few years, Chris, Jon and Tyler have proven themselves to be valued team members and definite assets to their individual departments as well as the agency as a whole,” said Scott Brandon, president of the shop. “As we continue to grow, it is imperative that we expand our positions and really utilize the amazing talent and expertise all of our team members possess.”
