Nasdaq Media Business in Play

Nasdaq has launched a review of its $15-20 million media planning and buying account, sources said. The New York-based electronic stock market is looking at incumbent Havas’ Media Planning Group, WPP’s MindShare and independent Horizon Media, all in New York, sources said. A decision is expected in July, according to sources. The consultancy, Roth Associates in New York, did not return calls. Client and agency representatives declined comment.

TBWA COO Makes Hiatus permanent

NEW YORK TBWA Worldwide COO Carl Johnson, who last July took a one-year hiatus in Sydney, Australia, is leaving the network, the agency confirmed. Johnson, whose duties have been redistributed among top executives, is mulling at least one job opportunity in New York, sources said. A shop rep said the COO post will not be filled.
