BOSTON Havas’ MPG Arnold said it has added U.S. media duties for Magner’s Irish Cider.

The account is significant because it represents MPG Arnold’s first stand-alone piece of business since the Boston-based unit was folded under the MPG banner last year, the agency said.

Stuart Wooten, Magner’s export director, in a statement said MPG Arnold’s location in Boston, a city where the hard cider brand is already popular, as one reason the agency was tapped.

The budget was not disclosed.
