San Francisco-based BARC Communications promoted two staffers and hired a third to strengthen its account-service team. Felix Lam, formerly the company’s controller, was promoted to CFO, while John Randazzo moves from account supervisor to account director. Stephanie Penman leaves The Wolf Group to work on BARC’s PowerBar and Kikkoman accounts as account director.

Halleck in Palo Alto added three employees to its account-management roster. Julie Anna Ray joins as account director on Sun. She leaves her position as account supervisor at marchFirst. Crissie Collins joins as account manager. She was formerly an account director/principal at The Virtual Agency. Cristina Sagray joins as an assistant account manager. She was an associate account executive and associate project manager at marchFirst.

Primo Angelini in San Francisco tapped four new creative directors. Richard Scheve, Lynn Ritts and Brian Lovell were all promoted, while Aaron Stapley, formerly of Nestlé, joined the firm.

Runyon Saltzman & Einhorn in Sacramento tapped Daniel Faccinetti as director of advertising.


Tyee Euro RSCG in Portland selected Jerry Grant as vp of production. Grant’s experience includes time with J. Walter Thompson, Saatchi & Saatchi, Euro RSCG/DSW Partners and the former Kresser/Craig, working on such accounts as Intel, Toyota, McDonald’s and Kinkos.

Southern California

Bulldog Drummond in San Diego tapped Christian Marichal as senior copywriter. Marichal’s experience includes time with J. Walter Thompson, Saatchi & Saatchi and Greenaway Burdett Martin. He will work on accounts including Easton Sports, Virgin Entertainment and Kendall Oil.

San Diego’s Geary Interactive named Ben Fisher director of sales and marketing.

Team One Advertising in El Segundo tapped Anne-Marie M. Schaffer as group communications director. Schaffer was formerly vp, associate media director at Rubin Postaer and Associates in Santa Monica, where she worked on Honda, WebTV and the Los Angeles Kings.

Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder in Newport Beach tapped Jennifer McKee as print production manager. She previously worked at Rubin Postaer and Associates in Santa Monica.

Kang & Lee in Los Angeles promoted Cynthia Park to evp, client services/managing partner; Saul Gitlin to evp, strategic services/new business; Yuri Makarov to vp of creative services; Martina Lee and Tessa Rosario both to account director; Dennis Chang to creative director; and Yoosoon Kim to director of creative services.

The Roxburgh Agency in Costa Mesa promoted Elyse Ridenour to vp from her prior role as account supervisor. Ridenour will manage a group of residential real estate clients.

L90 of Los Angeles promoted CJ Cardinalli and Mark Smelzer. Cardinalli transitions from svp, Western sales, to svp, national sales manager. Smelzer moves from vp, entertainment, to vp, national director of sales.

Warner Bros. Pictures in Los Angeles hired Louise Soper as director of promotions, domestic marketing. Soper was previously senior manager, sales programs for Disney.com.

MGM Worldwide Television Group, Santa Monica, hired Priscilla Pesci as svp of marketing for all domestic and international marketing and publicity. Pesci leaves Impact Media, where she served as svp, worldwide marketing.

Fox Family Channel in Los Angeles promoted Todd Schoen to svp, affiliate marketing and local ad sales. Schoen’s experience includes time at MTV Networks and American Movie Classics.

Commercial and music video production shop A Band Apart, Los Angeles, added director Simon Brand to its roster. Brand’s work includes the recent Jessica Simpson video “Irresistible.”

525 Studios, Santa Monica, tapped Christine Carr as visual effects producer, supporting Alex Brodie and Erik Novisedlak. Carr’s experience includes time with Palomar Pictures, The Cutting Room, B17 Editorial and Method, working on such accounts as Gap, Nike and Toyota.

FMiTV Networks of Los Angeles tapped Paul Bowlin as vp of national sales and Steven Felt as vp of Midwest regional sales. Bowlin leaves a position as director of national advertising sales with streaming media ad-insertion company Lightningcast. Felt was a senior account executive for Westwood One in Chicago.

Zebra Hill Marketing in Bellevue selected Tom DiGiovanni as svp of finance. DiGiovanni was CFO for Bensussen Deutsch and Associates before starting his own company in 1999.

The Leonhardt Group in Seattle chose a new president/CEO, Sue Nixon, and a new chief creative officer, Ray Ueno.
