Publicis New York hired Charlie MacLachlan as senior principal, group account di rector on the Siemens business, a newly created position. He reports to chief marketing officer and management director Jennifer Garr. MacLachlan joined the shop from CNBC in New York, where he served as director of marketing from December 1999 to June of this year. Before that, he was senior vice president, ac count director at BBDO New York, where he worked on General Electric, Gillette, Pepsi, Visa and the U.S. Navy, among others. Mac Lachlan started his advertising career as an account executive at the former Ammirati & Puris in New York, where he worked on BMW North America.

Steven Tao was named senior vice president, programming and production at VH1 in New York. He formerly worked at New Line Television.

Cybuy in New York hired two new executives. Michael Terretta was appointed chief technology officer; he previously worked as chief technology officer and chief vision officer at e-Media. Michael May joined as vice president, corporate strategy; he was formerly a research director and senior analyst at Jupiter Media Metrix.

Peter Himler was elected president of The Publicity Club of New York. He is a managing director of the Corporate/Financial Practice, in charge of media relations at New York-based Burson-Marsteller. Himler succeeds Howard Bailen, director of media relations, Mercer Management Consulting, in this post at PCNY.

Mark Romeo was appointed chief operating officer at mH2O. Before joining the New York-based company, he worked as senior vice president of marketing and business development at Fresh Direct.

Attik in New York hired Eve Ehrich as a senior producer. She formerly served as a freelance producer/writer for companies such as Spon taneous Combustion, ESPN, Eye ball NYC and The Diecks Group.

Vibe/Spin Ventures named Leah Watkins public relations manager. She previously worked as an account executive at D.L. Blackman & Co. in New York. Vibe/Spin Ventures, publisher of the music and youth-culture magazines Vibe and Spin, is based in New York.

Fabia D’Arienzo was hired as vice president for GCG Communications, a service division of The Garden City Group. In this post, a newly created position, she will be based at the division’s Reston, Va., headquarters. Prior to joining the company, which is based in Garden City, she worked at Sciens Worldwide Public Relations and APCA Worldwide, among others.

Isocurve in New York named Richard Von Feldt director of business development. He previously served as director of business development at Genji Networks.


MaryAnn Capritti was hired as executive vice president, managing partner of Adient, a unit of CommonHealth in Parsip pany. She formerly worked as vice president of gastrointestinal sales and marketing for Janssen Pharmaceutica.


Karen Goldfarb was named vice president of list sales at MSGi Direct in Newtown. She previously worked at Whitehat.

The Hal Lewis Group in Philadelphia named Tara McArdle a traffic coordinator. She was formerly a traffic coordinator at Aetna U.S. Healthcare in Blue Bell.

Centric Medical Communications named Carolyn Klein a client services director. Before joining the Philadelphia-based shop, she served as a director, client services at Ballentyne Brumble Communications.
