Susan Cartwright was promoted to senior vice president, group account director at BBDO Chicago. She will oversee the agency’s Allied Domecq and Wrigley accounts.

Leo Burnett, Chicago, elected Marshall Goldman and Jeffrey Krucek vice presidents. Goldman is currently a creative director on Marlboro. Krucek is an account supervisor on Oldsmobile and Hallmark for LB Northstar.

Lewis Goldstein joined WPP Group’s Einson Freeman, Chicago, as an account director. Goldstein was the director of brand promotions for Boston Beer.

Rand Denny and Bob Jackson were each named vice president of DDB Chicago. Denny is a creative director at the agency; Jackson is an executive producer.

Ben Dreessen joined Simantel in Peoria as a copywriter.


Keller Crescent in Evansville hired Greg Meunier as an assistant account executive.

Bj Thompson Associates in Mishawaka hired Jerry A. Kraus as its new creative director. Kraus was previously production manager, illustrator and computer technician at ARS Advertising Group.


Jean Malley-Vega joined DP & Co. in Southfield as an account director. She will oversee the Visteon account. Chris McKenna joined the shop as a senior copywriter. McKenna previously worked on the Lincoln-Mercury Dealer account for Young & Rubicam in Dearborn.

Diane Egan Slayton, former director of promotion planning and operations for Pillsbury, joined CRC, Eden Prairie, as senior vice president of account management.

Smith-Winchester hired Stephen M. Jones as a senior copywriter.


Anne Gruetzman joined Kruskopf Olson, Minneapolis, as account executive on the Mystic Lake Casino, GN ReSound and McGlynn’s accounts. Gruetzman previously worked at Agency Eleven, formerly Kuester Partners, on a variety of assignments.

Sara Sturm joined Morgan&Myers as senior associate in the shop’s Minneapolis office. Sturm was senior account executive at Fleishman Hillard, Minneapolis.


New at Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City are creative team coordinator Carrie Bredeman, assistant media planner Jennifer Crouch, assistant media planner Sharon Handley, payroll accountant Trissy Pierce, account supervisor John Schrag and account coordinator Rachel Sumy. Digital Evergreen, the shop’s interactive division, added Anna Mariah Andrews, information specialist, Jason W. Bedell, technology specialist and Stephanie Williamson, project management director.

Adamson promoted Susie Penn to creative director of its corporate communications division. Penn was senior copywriter in the advertising division and joined the agency in 1997.

Bakley Evergreen & Partners, Kansas City, hired Jeff Risley as senior account executive. Risley previously was a manager of channel marketing at Netsales.


Brain Hamburger joined Smith Kaplan Allen & Reynolds, Omaha, as vice president of business development. Hamburger previously was a sales resource manager at the Omaha World-Herald, where he also worked in various positions in the paper’s retail advertising division.


Wyse Advertising named Dean Skinner president of its Zerotime Interactive unit. Skinner, who will lead a staff of 22, has been with the unit since 1999. The Cleveland shop also hired Karen Slovak in its Brand Strategy Group.

Liggett-Stashower promoted Laura Jensen to vice president of its information systems department. She will oversee the development and implementation of the company’s information network.

Hitchcock Fleming and Associates hired Dale Elwell as account manager on the Akron shop’s Goodyear Tire & Rubber account.

Libby Perszyk Kathman, Cincinnati, hired Suzie Harkavy as account executive, Mike Bonar as quality assurance coordinator and Abbie Griffith and Kristen Whitaker as creative services interns.

New at Northlich in Cincinnati are senior art director Mark Smith, account supervisor Bill Naughton and senior account manager in public relations Tamara Staley.

The Urda Company, Akron, hired Kristen Panning as its production/traffic manager.

Backley & Gingrich Advertising, Cincinnati, named Steve Jagers president and senior partner. Jagers previously was advertising manager at The Kroger Co. for the Cincinnati and Dayton area.

Louise Quigley was promoted to vice president/general manager of Stein & Co. in Cleveland. She is also vice president of marketing for Digital Navigation, Stein’s interactive division.

Point to Point Communications hired Deborah Kulber as vice president, client services. Kulber will be in charge of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust and Ulmer & Burne LLC accounts at the Cleveland agency.

Wolf Group Cleveland promoted Tracy Bergen from account executive to senior account executive. Bergen joined Wolf Group eight-years ago as traffic manager.


New in MARC USA’s IT department in Pittsburgh are specialist Michelle Matta, archivist Travis Pile and software developer Michael Hennigan.


Megan Kivett joined Kinzie & Green in Wausau as a graphic designer.

Greg Linnemanstons joined Weidert Group in Appleton as vice president of strategic development. He will be responsible for new business initiatives and client service.

The Hiebing Group in Madison hired production manager Claire Wenstrom and graphic designer Kaci Christensen. Wenstrom joined the shop from Hyperion Studios, while Christensen was most recently at Zillman Advertising.

Scott Schneider joined Sprecher Bertalot & Co. in Milwaukee as a production artist. He will be responsible for preparing print ads.

Cramer-Krasselt in Milwaukee promoted Ann Wells, Mike Nourse and Patti Jones each to senior account executive in its PR department. New to the shop are account supervisor Moe Dane, account executive Michelle Kinner, senior brand planning analyst Gail Dreger and promotions account executive Vanessa Van Valin.

Thomas Baker joined Directions in Neenah as an art director.
