Bromley Aguilar & Associates, San Antonio, hired Nelda Carrizales Skevington as public relations account executive. Her clients include Sprint, Procter & Gamble and Western Union. She previously worked at public relations firm MPR.
Hadeler Sullivan & Law, Dallas, welcomed account executive LeeAnn Peterson. She arrived from Temerlin McClain, where she handled duties on that shop’s American Airlines account. Her duties at HS&L will involve clients Shabang!, Ameritas Life Insurance and Big A Auto Parts.
Carmen Ozuna has joined Duncan/Day Advertising in Dallas as art director. Ozuna was formerly with ProMedia Advertising and Consulting in Wichita Falls.
Vijay Rao was hired as assistant account executive at Stuart Bacon, Fort Worth. Rao was previously an intern at the agency.
ClearCommerce Corp., Austin, named Gregg Gumbinger an industry marketing manager. Gumbinger will oversee strategic marketing initiatives within the financial services field. Previously, he was vice president of sales and marketing at Electronic Press Services Group in Cambridge, Mass.
The Houston Chronicle added the associate publisher title to both president John Sweeney and executive vice president and editor Jack Loftis, and promoted four executives to senior vice presidents: Robert Carlquist, administration; Gary Randazzo, sales and marketing; Jack Stanley, operations and technology; and Richard Winegarden, chief financial officer.
Gita Zumbado has joined Bates Churchill Advertising in Houston as account supervisor. She was formerly a senior account executive at the Houston office of Fellers Marketing & Advertising.
BBDO in Houston promoted Todd McLemore to assistant account executive on its Texaco/Havoline account. Mc-Lemore joined BBDO from Pennzoil.
Trajecta in Austin installed Frank Caruana as director of product marketing. Caruana served as principal and director of marketing and economic systems at Danielian Consulting Group.
Texas Micro, Houston, appointed Terry Manus vice president of sales for North, Central and South America. In the newly created position, Manus will be responsible for field sales in the U.S., as well as the company’s sales support and strategic account group operations.
Teletouch Communications, Tyler, brought aboard Richard Vandervoet, formerly senior manager with ADC Marketing, as director of marketing. The company also promoted Paul Reichard to director of outside sales. Reichard’s duties include outside marketing.
Vollmer Public Relations, Houston, promoted management supervisor Denisha Raulston to vice president of consumer products, account supervisors Renee Catacalos and Patricia Frank to management supervisors, and account executive Eileen Conery to senior account executive.
Polo Magazine in Dallas enlisted Kirsten Hall as marketing coordinator. She will be based in Houston.
Stone & Ward in Little Rock added two staffers: public relations account executive Richard Mullikin and assistant account executive Katie Davies. Mullikin, formerly public relations director at John Brown University, will handle duties for clients TeleCorp PCS, Harding University and The Flying Saucer. Davies is a former intern at the agency, assigned to the St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center accounts, among others.
A/K/A Advertising, Lafayette, hired marketing managers Dawn Justin and Branden Nichols. Justin was a district manager for the Georgiou women’s clothing store chain, and Nichols served as branch manager for Jim Walter Homes in Memphis, Tenn., and Lafayette.
The Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber of Commerce signed Kevin MacNeil for recruiting and marketing efforts in membership sales.
