Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, has named Paul Schulman to the newly-created post of president, manager of creative resources. Reporting to chief creative officer Tod Seisser, Schulman will be responsible for managing the creative department’s work flow and will function as a talent scout and recruiter.
Saatchi & Saatchi also reported the following promotions in its media department: Bob McKinnon was raised to vice president, group media director from vice president, associate media director; Lisa Gilson was named vice president, associate media director; Rob Reifenheiser was appointed vice president, associate media director; Loren Turetzky was elevated to associate media director from media supervisor; and Liz Greenberg was made a media planning supervisor.
Bob Piwinski¸ has joined Avrett, Free & Ginsberg as a senior account management supervisor. Piwinski had been director of the marketing services division, MDS.
DCA Advertising, New York, has added Randy Novick as senior vice president, media director and Bill Taylor¸¸, senior vice president, creative director. Novick had served as media director at Greenstone/Roberts Advertising, where his clients included Bic and Domino Sugar. Taylor comes from Ammirati Puras Lintas, where he served as associate creative director on the Compaq account.
Ammirati Puras Lintas, New York, reported the following promotions: Mike Aaron was elevated to vice president, account supervisor, client services from account supervisor; Tracy Faux was promoted to vice president, account supervisor from account supervisor; Steve Leary was elevated to vice president, account supervisor, client services from account supervisor; and Sean McCarthy was promoted to vice president, account supervisor, client services from account supervisor.
Porter Novelli, New York, reported these new hires: Fiona Morrisson joins the firm as an account executive, consumer division, working on accounts including the Australian Tourist Commission and Bermuda; Sheryl Kornfeld and Katy Anderson join as account executives, consumer division, with accounts including Fidelity Investments; and Juan Carlos Cordovez joins as a graphic designer in the creative department.
New York-based Partners & Shevack has elevated Steve McKee to vice president, account supervisor. McKee had been an account supervisor since 1996.
DeWitt Media has named Steven Facini vice president, account director on the BMW account, replacing the retiring Bob Burden. Facini had been vice president, account director at McCann Direct.
Mark L. Bienstock was named vice president, business affairs/affiliate relations by USA Networks, New York. Formerly the vice president of legal and business affairs for USA Networks, Bienstock will be responsible for matters relating to the distribution of the company’s four cable channels: USA Network, the Sci-Fi Channel, HSN, and America’s Store.
DoubleClick, a New York-based provider of Internet advertising solutions, has tapped Jeffrey E. Epstein as chief financial officer.
Time Inc. has named Michael Pepe president of its business information group. Pepe will oversee the company’s business and personal finance titles, including Fortune, Money and Your Company magazines.

Earle Palmer Brown, Philadelphia, has promoted John Moscatelli to public relations coach and team leader. Moscatelli, a senior vice president and associate general manager, has been with the marketing communications agency for 12 years. Howard D. Larkin, a freelance medical editor and writer and frequent contributor to American Medical News, has been named editor of Between Rounds, a new national online magazine about managed care targeted at physicians. The magazine is published by Philadelphia-based Medical Broadcasting Co. for Astra Merck.
