Wells BDDP, New York, designated John Garland executive vice president, managing partner and director of broadcast production. Alan Gould, formerly with Bozell Sawyer Miller Group, was signed by GCI Group, New York, as executive vice president of its corporate division. Wenner Media, New York, named Jay Adams New York manager of Rolling Stone, succeeding Jack Rotherham, who was appointed advertising director of the publication. Peter Winn, formerly with Disney Magazine Publishing, arrived at Wenner Media as circulation business director, a new position. Nancy Newman, publisher of PC Magazine, was elected a vice president of Ziff-Davis, New York. New York sales director Jim Tricarico moved up to Eastern regional sales director at Inc. magazine, New York. Kathryn Rizzo advanced to ad director of the SRDS Consumer Magazine Advertising Source, New York. Before joining SRDS, Rizzo was a media supervisor at Young & Rubicam. Marketing Resources, Orchard Park, promoted Michele Marks to account supervisor and Elana Pomponio to account coordinator. The agency also added account supervisor Mary-Iris Taylor and account coordinators Laura Berberich and Kathryn Oaks. Taylor and Berberich are based in Pittsburgh and Buffalo, respectively. Brian Byrne joined the staff of pkg media inc., New York, as director of new business development. Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, elevated Peter Kapcio to management supervisor, public relations services.
