CHICAGO-Motorola has called off the review of its $150 million global media account, citing the soft economy.

“We decided that it was in our company’s best interest for the interim to stay with our current agencies,” said Richelle Franklin, the Schaumburg, Ill.-based company’s vice president of corporate branding.

The media account will remain with lead agency Universal McCann in Los Angeles and Mindshare Latin America, Franklin said. Contenders had included the incumbents and Initiative Media in Los Angeles.
