The competition for Motorola’s review of its $40 million consolidated account has thinned, according to sources.





BBDO West in Los Angeles and DDB Needham in Chicago have withdrawn from contention. In addition, McCann-Erickson in Atlanta, the incumbent on the paging systems business, declined the invitation to participate, said sources. One incumbent, Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago, was eliminated, sources said.





Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York, identified earlier as a contender by sources, was never involved in the review.
