Mintz & Hoke Makes an Appeal for Eve’s Fund

BOSTON Mintz & Hoke puts a new spin on the all too familiar image of a person holding out a can and asking for money in a pro-bono print effort for Eve’s Fund, a volunteer organization of Connecticut business and media professionals dedicated to ending domestic violence.

Ads attempt to put a face on the issue by showing assault victims holding out cans that bear messages such as “Help save a woman from homicidal husband” and “Help send a rapist to prison.” To avoid stereotyping and drive home the scope of the problem, women of various ages as well as boys and girls are depicted.

The effort from the independent agency in Avon, Conn., includes posters, public relations efforts and a Web site, evesfund.org. Mandy Rhode wrote the copy, Bonnie Hollant served as art director and Sean Kernan handled photography.
