An upper Midwest energy company created through the merger of three regional utilities has chosen Meyocks & Priebe in Des Moines as its agency, following a review.
Interstate Energy Corp., headquartered in Madison, Wis., initially invited nine Midwest shops to the review for its estimated $2-3 million ad business.
Finalists for the account, in addition to Meyocks & Priebe, were Lindsay, Stone & Briggs in Madison and Colle & McVoy in Minneapolis, sources said.
Interstate Energy was formed through the merger, announced in September 1996, of WPL Holding in Madison, parent of Wisconsin Power & Light; Interstate Power Co.
