LOS ANGELES – Mendelsohn/Zien, with billings of about $20 million here, has reopened negotiations with $182-million Griffin Bacal/N.Y. about a possible strategic alliance. Unlike earlier conversations, these talks do not involve an acquisition, according to M/Z co-principal Richard Zien.
