MediaSpan Group Appoints Zagorski CMO

BOSTON MediaSpan Group, a diversified media technology company, said it has named Mark Zagorski chief marketing officer, a newly created position.

Zagorski, 36, will report to company CEO F.R. Campagnoni, and will be based in New York. Zagorski is now responsible for strategic marketing programs for MediaSpan’s Harris & Baseview and First Media Works divisions, as well as corporate marketing strategy, promotional and sales activity for future MediaSpan acquisitions.

“In addition to helping promote and market our individual brands, Mark will help the marketplace better understand the overall mission and direction of MediaSpan,” said Campagnoni. “Mark’s strong background working with online advertisers and leading media companies makes him a key part of our strategy to grow MediaSpan’s network development efforts.”

Zagorski spent the past five years in senior posts at WorldNow, an ad network for local television Web sites; most recently, he was president of the company. He has also held posts at i-shop Modem Media, now part of independently owned Digitas.
